Put your first
agent to work.

Connect a development machine to Pi Dash, enroll a runner, and give Codex or Claude Code a durable queue of project work.

Three pieces, one delivery loop

Pi Dash separates shared project state from local execution, so agents can use the real repositories and tools already on your machine.

Pi Dash cloud

The shared project system where your team scopes issues, delegates work, and follows agent runs.

Pi Dash CLI

The local command line handles device login, machine enrollment, runner setup, status, and diagnostics.

Runner

A runner binds one agent instance to a project and dispatches delegated issues on its host machine.

  1. 1

    Create a project

Sign in to Pi Dash, create a workspace and project, then add at least one issue with a clear outcome and acceptance criteria.

  2. 2

    Install the Pi Dash CLI

On macOS or Linux, run the signed release installer:

    curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -LsSf https://github.com/The-AI-Republic/pi-dash/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh

On Windows, run the same thing from PowerShell:

    irm https://github.com/The-AI-Republic/pi-dash/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iex

Both installers finish by starting the device login in step 3, so on a normal desktop setup you can go straight to step 4. A Windows MSI installer is also available for IT-managed deployments.

Running inside WSL installs the Linux build, which drives only the agents inside that WSL distro. If your coding agents live on the Windows side, use the PowerShell command instead.

  3. 3

    Authenticate the machine

Device login opens a browser, ties the CLI to your account, and stores the local machine credential. The installers in step 2 start this for you — run it by hand only if you installed from the MSI, installed without a terminal attached, or need to sign in again.

    pidash auth login --url https://pidash.airepublic.com
  4. 4

    Enroll a runner

In Pi Dash, choose the project and agent, then run the generated enrollment command on the machine that will host it.

    pidash runner add --project <project-id>
    pidash doctor
    pidash status

Work from your agent

Give Codex or Claude Code direct access to Pi Dash workflows.

The optional agent skill lets your coding session create, search, update, and comment on Pi Dash issues through the same authenticated CLI.

The operating loop

  • Delegate

Move a scoped issue into active work and assign it to a runner.

  • Execute

The agent reads the issue, repository conventions, and durable workpad.

  • Validate

Tests and acceptance criteria are recorded before delivery.

  • Review

The branch, code review, run history, and issue state remain connected.

Local execution

Your source code and developer credentials stay on the runner host.

Device authentication

Machine access is explicit, inspectable, and revocable from Pi Dash.

Open source

Pi Dash is AGPL-3.0 licensed and can be self-hosted from the public repository.
